Maura Thomas is the author of the latest book in the Wiley “Secrets” series: Personal Productivity Secrets: Do what you never thought possible with your time and attention… and regain control of your life. Over the past 17 years she has helped others do just that, speaking and training at business groups, conferences, events, and corporations large and small, nationally and internationally.

Maura’s expertise in organization and efficiency led her to found RegainYourTime.com in 2003, and develop the Empowered Productivity System™, a workflow management process for defending your attention and achieving significant results. Because of her success with the System, Wiley Publishing approached Maura to literally write the book on personal productivity.

Maura has a strong social media presence, publishes a widely-read blog on productivity issues, and has been featured in Austin American Statesman, Entrepreneur.com, Yahoo! Shine, genConnect, and Fox Business. She earned an M.B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, and throughout her career she has worked with clients in a variety of industries, from solopreneurs to Fortune 500 and every size in between.

Maura is very active in the local community in her home base of Austin, TX, and she holds leadership positions in a variety of different community organizations and non-profits. Maura serves on the board of GEN Austin (Girls Empowerment Network) an organization dedicated to supporting girls to make wise choices as they navigate the unique pressures of girlhood. She also volunteers and offers pro-bono training to regional non-profits including Texas CASA, The Trail Foundation, and Junior Achievement.

Maura was selected from almost 7,000 applicants for The Climate Project, and in 2007, and again in 2010, she was personally trained by former Vice President and Nobel Laureate Al Gore and his team of leading climate scientists to help educate interested people on the issue of climate change. Social responsibility is very important to Maura and RegainYourTime.com donates a percentage to charity of all training and speaking fees received.
